In this presentation, we will discuss the problem of analyzing event logs, i.e. any ordered sequence of data elements. Two specific questions will be addressed. First, how can we query an event log? This problem will lead us to talk about the concept of Complex Event Processing, which we can see as a generalization of classical temporal logics. Secondly, how can we classify a set of logs into families, and what do these families represent intuitively? Preliminary results and an an implemetation of these concepts will also be discussed.
