Verification of Ad hoc Networks: Unreliability and Time

In the first part of the talk we present an analysis of verification problems, formulated as parameterized reachability, for an abstract model of Ad Hoc Network protocols in presence of node and communication failures. We consider here different types of failures: intermittency, crash and restart of single nodes, loss and conflicts of broadcast messages. In the second part we present an extension of the model in which nodes are specified by timed automata and, for the new model, discuss parameterized reachability problems for different classes of topologies.
