37th Spring School on theoretical computer science and French-Japanese collaboration workshop
Apr. 12th - Apr. 16th, 2010

Following the 2009 spring school and French-Japanese workshop on computational and symbolic proofs of security, we organize a second meeting from April 12th, 2010 to April 16, 2010. This will be a joint meeting of the Spring school on theoretical computer science and the JST/CNRS French-Japanese collaboration project.

The first three days (Apr. 12th - Apr. 14th) will be mostly dedicated to introductory lectures. The following days (Apr. 15th - Apr. 16th) will be mostly dedicated to research results presentations. If you wish to give a presentation, please follow the submission instructions.

Topics of the school and workshop

The main theme concerns the formal proofs of security, both in computational models and in symbolic models. The central piece of the meeting is the relationships between these two models.

Location

The meeting will take place in Auberge les Alouettes, Barbizon, France. Housing will be managed in two hotels located in the village within 200m from the meeting location.

Barbizon is a small village of painters, located at the boarder of the Foret de Fontainebleau. Touristic attractions include painting exhibitions and hiking and climbing in the forest: the village is a starting point of many hikes and close to famous rock climbing areas. Registration prices

Only full-board registrations are considered:  

• School + Workshop (9 meals, 4 nights)
          390 euros (double room)    510 euros (single room)
• School only (6 meals, 3 nights):
          300 euros (double room)    400 euros (single room)
• Workshop only (3 meals, 1 night):
          130 euros (double room)    170 euros (single room)

Prices are subject to slight modifications. Only few single rooms are available. Please consider this when you fill in the registration form. Participants who belong to the French-Japanese cooperation project can be supported by this project.

Participants

There are only a limited number of places (around 50). Participants are invited to submit an application using the registration application form .
There will be also around 12 research results presentations. If you wish to give such a presentation, please (in addition) follow the rules for submitting a presentation .

• Jan. 22nd: Application for presentation deadline
• Jan. 26th: Notification for presentation
• Jan. 31st: Application for participation deadline
• Feb. 5th: Notification for participation
• April 12th - April 14th: Spring school
• April 15th - April 16th: Workshop

Late applications will only be considered if there is enough room.

Venue

Barbizon is about 50km from Paris. A bus shuttle will be organized:

• to reach the hotel on Monday 12th April: the departure will be around 8:00am from Paris (Denfert-Rochereau).
• to leave Barbizon on Friday 16th April: the departure will be around 2:30pm from Barbizon. This will allow one to reach Denfert-Rochereau around 3:30pm.

Outside these time frames, the participants must take:

• From Gare de Lyon: The train Transilien from Paris to Melun. The train takes around 30 min and the cost of a ticket is around 8 euros. More information available here.
• From Gare du Nord, Chatelet, ...: The train RER D from Paris to Melun. The train takes around 1h and the cost of a ticket is around 8 euros. More information available here.
• From Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (80km): the train RER B from the aiport to Paris Gare du Nord and then RER D (around 2h). More information available here.
• From Orly Airport (50km): One possibility is first reach Gare de Lyon and then take the Transilien (around 1h30). More information available here.

At the end, to reach Barbizon, you have to take a taxi cab from Melun to Barbizon. There are 12km between the two city. This will cost you around 15 euros.
